"Captivating from the disturbing first page to the chilling last! This provocative and thrilling novel makes me proud to be a fellow Sinner!"
--Wayne Price,
Emmy Award-winning filmmaker.
"Equal parts Anthony Bourdain and Quentin Tarantino, Price's chaotic journey navigating an uncivil China (and his own heart of darkness) is a combustible mix of humor, raw vulnerability, and jaw-dropping "holy f***, did that just happen?"

“If you’re looking for a clean cut thriller or a light redemption novel, this isn’t it! But if your draw to gritty punk-rock realism with echoes of Fight Club or Requiem for a Dream, Thank God For The Sinners delivers a punch to the gut – and makes you think long after the last page.”
- Manny I, book reviewer
“Thank God For The Sinners is not a comfortable read, nor is it meant to be. It’s a fever dream of violence, memory, and psychological unraveling. But within that chaos lies a deeply human story – a warning, a reckoning, and an exploration of what happens when a damaged man is used as a weapon. A provocative and daring debut”
-Thomas Anderson, Editor in Chief, Literary Titan.
"This book reads like a harsher, more chaotic cousin to Fight Club, trading sleek rebellion for something messier and more personal. It also carries the bruised honesty of A Million Little Pieces, only with fewer apologies and a lot more bite.”

Thank God For The Sinners is a dark, hard-hitting psychological thriller that refuses to hold back any punches. Fueled by punk-rock energy and a brutal honesty rarely found in the genre, it’s been called “Tarantino meets Bukowski on a Bourdain odyssey.”
The novel follows Rick Price, a man unraveling under the weight of old wounds and the suffocating pressure of a secret double life as a CIA asset posing as an international businessman in China. Through raw, uncompromising flashbacks, readers witness Rick’s descent—from a volatile punk rocker to a fractured operative drowning in addiction, violence, and chaos. When a massage girl dies unexpectedly in his hotel room, Rick’s world detonates, launching him into a spiraling fight to prove his innocence and hold on to the last scraps of his sanity.
Was Rick born a sinner, or did life forge him into one- blow by blow, scar by scar? Dive into this raw, award-winning thriller and judge for yourself. Eric Magun is a multi–award-winning author and filmmaker with roots planted firmly in the punk ethic of doing things your own way. His breakout indie film, Toast with the Gods, smashed Homer’s Odyssey into a surreal, rebellious vision that set the tone for everything that followed. Since then, he’s carved out a body of work that includes unflinching screenplays, raw short fiction, and a fearless poetry collection.
After spending over thirty years in the cutthroat world of international business—much of it navigating the back alleys, boardrooms, and blurred edges of China and Southeast Asia—Eric brings a lived-in grit to his storytelling. His work pulses with the chaos, intensity, and dark humor that come from seeing the world up close and unvarnished. When stateside, he splits his time between the East and West Coasts, usually hunched over pages with something loud blasting in the background.
His debut novel, Thank God For The Sinners, is a dark, hard-hitting psychological thriller that tore through the indie lit scene, becoming a nine-time award winner recognized by the New York Book Festival, NYC Big Book Award, International Impact Book Award, The Book Fest Award, the Independent Author Network, Literary Global Awards, Literary Titan, Southern California Book Festival, and the Independent Press Award for Best Psychological Thriller.
